The Sugar Bowl Cafe is a lovely spot for hearty Kiwi comfort food. We popped in for lunch on our way to Wintec rotokauri campus and were so glad we did! We enjoyed the seafood chowder and Southern fried chicken burger, both perfect choices for a satisfying lunch. The flat white was great too! ☕ A welcoming cafe with delicious, wholesome food that really hits the spot. Definitely a hidden gem worth discovering if you’re in Hamilton. Highly recommend stopping by for a good coffee and a hearty meal! 😊
We went for morning tea .. I had a warm savoury muffin and hot chocolate and my friend had a caramel and chocolate square and coffee. We sat outside in the garden area and enjoyed a quiet conversation, and it was cold so we placed blankets on our laps that were available to customer's for free...
The chicken waffles really surprised me, the waffles and fried chicken went beautifully well together and it was a delight to the eyes as well as the palate. The sweet and savory always is a hit for me. The French toast was scrumptious too. Loved the overall chill vibe of the cafe and definitely returning for more :D
Lovely cafe with a great menu selection from all day breakfast to early lunch. Perfect for a local brunch spot in Hamilton West. Food was fresh and delicious with good portion sizes. A little pricey but value for your money. Was a bit loud inside but the sheltered outdoor area was great. Will definitely be back to this sweet spot 😄
Food is excellent, limited tables especially for larger group. Outside seating in colder weather not recommended, place could be loud outside with passing vehicles.
