My sister, Mum and I ordered a muffin each. My sister also ordered a mince pie and I got the steak n cheese pie.
For drinks, Mum got an Americano. I got an almond milk hot chocolate, while my sister got a small bottle of sprite.
Food was highly disappointing. The muffin was so dry. We tried to wash it down with our drinks.
The Americano was so watery and tasted like normal instant coffee. It was not dark at all. My hot chocolate tasted sickenly milky so I didn't finish it.
The pies looked like the $1 pies normally bought at dairies with how jello the sauce in the pie looked. But we still ate it all. We were hungry and been driving between Tauranga to Auckland almost daily.
I can honestly say that we will not be returning to eat here again.
Customer service was great though. The place was clean and tidy.
May need to regularly check the toilets to replace the paper towels as there was none (no evidence of any in the rubbish bins either) and fix the hand dryer that wouldn't work.

Good looking menu. Pretty basic when it arrives at your table. Tables waiting to be cleaned. Wrong meal delivered, even tho correct version was ordered and confirmed. Used to be a go to for a decent feed, not any more. Definitely expensive for what you get. Sides exorbitantly priced. Long wait for food considering place nearly empty.

Very expensive for basic food. Tacos were drowned in BBQ sauce and chips weren't very crisp. Think they were cooked in old oil. Avocado on grain bread was nice but too much charged for a side of bacon which was just two tiny pieces! Took quite a while for food to arrive although everyone else already had theirs. Boring inside with no atmosphere. Won't be going back.

Had breakfast here a while ago.
Just a basic breakfast. Nothing special to make it stand out for the price. Quality was fine. Presentation was good. Just missing a little bit of value for the money.

The Lemon and Paeroa cafe has spun around towards the better.
Only three weeks ago my husband and I stopped after driving for hours we were looking forward to an good coffee and an bite to eat.Only to recieve poor service warm coffee and average food we were very disappointed.The toilets were anything other then sanitary counter service was grim and the food was then average.
Portion wise they could've been bigger,considering the price.However as of today much to our delight the toilets were fresh and clean.The service wait staff was superb,one young lady in particular who mustve only started there recently.Although been ran off her feet provided excellent service with an smile vibrant personality created an overall great atmosphere.Who went that extra mile ensuring we were satisfied with our order.After been taken incorrectly by counter staff man.But the food was this time well portioned fresh and delicious(complements to the chief)
We will be back again 😊
