We meet up here with friends from school days and early working life a few times a year. It's always a pleasure as the staff are very welcoming and friendly and the food is lovely. There is some outdoor seating and lots of inside seating. You can order off the menu or have cabinet food, or have just a coffee/drink if that's what you're wanting.
I lived in Te Aroha West for about 8 years till I was 9, and remember the old shops etc so it's a trip down memory lane for me.
Some pics of various meals attached.

Whevever I am in town to see family I do stop here for a coffee, really good.
This week in town to celebrate Christmas with family, really wanted to go out for dinner, thrilled that Ironique had a Christmas dinner. We were the only ones booked in for the evening meal (he did have a couple of walkins). Several options for dinner, we all chose Stuffed Roast Turkey which was fabulous. Roasted fresh vegetables.
Food presentation was great, loads of flavours. Dessert Pavlova, perfect size. Great way to finish the meal. Thanks Boomi for having us, very attentive, proud of his food and worthy of it. Merry Christmas.

Just visited Ironique Cafe a few days ago and we were both very happy with our breakfast. The staff were friendly and offered alternative options to suit our needs. The mini sized big breakfast was cooked perfectly and was absolutely scrumptious! I also had a feijoa juice to accompany my meal.
The staff offered to cook oats for us as I really wanted a lighter breakfast. However, we were delighted to be given alternatives to the standard menu and the mini big breakfast was very tasty without being too heavy and not greasy at all.
The melting moment biscuits which I took home were the best ones that I have had in a long time. My husband greatly enjoyed his one too. There was a wide range of cabinet food to choose from and it was difficult to make a decision as they all looked fresh and yummy.
Ironique Cafe Is centrally located on the main street and across the road from the thermal pools. There is parking space on the street outside.
I would be happy to recommend and hope to return again when visiting Te Aroha in the future.

We stopped in for a drink and found the staff attentive, friendly and the sloe bramble gin cocktail was gorgeous. We stayed for a meal and got the antipesto platter which was stunning.. amazing value and the Diablo pizza really hit the spot in terms of spicy 😋 loved the overall vibe and will absolutely be back next time we are visiting Te Aroha. Well done team for a lovely afternoon/evening of delicious food, drinks and service. 💯 recommend.

Such a lovely surprise stop on our road trip! We were driving from Whitianga to New Plymouth and took the scenic route to see the Putaruru Blue Springs. We left just after 7am and decided to take a break after about two hours on the road. That’s when we came across this beautiful little cafe in Te Aroha.
My partner was really craving rice to go with the steamed dumplings we had, so we asked if they had any meals with rice. The cafe manager immediately went out of her way to ask the chef if he could prepare something just for us (even though it wasn’t on the menu!)
To our surprise, the chef suggested making adobo - a beloved dish from our home country, the Philippines. Of course we said yes! He headed straight to the kitchen, and in just about 15 minutes, he served us a freshly cooked adobo paired with fragrant fried garlic rice. We only came in hoping for plain steamed rice, and instead we were treated to something even more special and delicious.
What we thought would be a quick food stop turned into such a warm, nostalgic, and relaxing break in our journey. I didn’t catch the chef’s name, but he’s amazing - incredibly kind and seriously talented to pull off such a comforting dish so quickly.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re passing through the Waikato region. This place truly made our trip extra memorable 🙏🙏🙏
