Today I brought my car to Grimmer Motors for a WOF and asked them to check a strange noise that was coming from the car when starting the engine. To be honest, I thought the problem might be difficult to fix and that my car might need a major repair. But I was absolutely amazed by the service I received. The team did an outstanding job and handled everything in such a professional and efficient way. They didn’t need a lot of explanation or unnecessary talking — they simply understood the problem, fixed it, and delivered an amazing result. When I picked up my car, it honestly felt like I had a brand-new car again! The noise was gone, everything felt smooth, and the car was running beautifully. I really appreciate the care, honesty, attention to detail, and high-quality workmanship. It’s not easy to find a garage that provides this level of service and genuinely takes pride in their work. I had frustrating experiences with this workshop. 2 years ago, my car got fixed by them for oil leak. They emailed me after repair was completed saying the major leak was repaired. but found 2 minor leaks were not detected at the time, they suggested to give a further repair with another quotation for another hundreds of dollars. I felt frustrated and refused another repair. I paid $463.88 for the unsuccessful repair, Recently, I contacted them expecting them to fix the 2 minor leaks because I think they have the record of that repair in their system and knows the situation better than a new workshop. After diagnosis, they quoted me over $2000 including the leak repair and a basic service. Their quote was shocking and far beyond my expectations, I declined. They charged me $198 for diagnostic fee and oil top-up. Today, I went to another auto workshop to get the oil leak repaired on the same day and paid $217 in total including diagnostic fee and leak repair cost. What a shocking contrast between a disappointing workshop and a reputable one. I felt emotional and can't help writing this review.
Quick and easy online booking and handover when I dropped my car off. Plus, I got a courtesy car. They did a top-notch premium service and warrant for me. And because I got my car there early, they cleaned for free. I was super impressed with how good a job they did too. Especially the tyres. So shiny! Very happy - thanks Grimmer Motors

I recently took my car to Grimmer Motors on Heaphy Terrace in Hamilton for a WOF, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. I dropped my car off and returned just 1hr later. Glen had already completed the inspection, clearly explained the work required, provided a detailed quote, and advised that it would take 2–3 days to complete once the parts arrived. He also assured me that a courtesy car would be available and that I could drop my vehicle off the following day. True to his word, the courtesy car was ready and waiting when I arrived. My car was repaired and ready for collection after only two days, and the final cost was just $1 over the quoted amount – a testament to their honesty and accuracy. What really impressed me was the extra care taken with my vehicle. When I collected it, the car had been polished, vacuumed, the upholstery cleaned, and the tyres blackened. The service, communication, and correspondence throughout the entire process was outstanding. It reminded me of how old school customer service used to be. Thanks Grimmer Motors! I'll be back again.
